C&G Magazine

C&G Monthly magazine will make its’ premier on the Canadian literary landscape in February 2010 focusing on comics, graphic novels and gaming. Being based in Toronto and Canadian owned we will look at the industry through a Canadian lens and with coverage on the latest and greatest the industry has to offer – nationally and internationally.

We have recently decided to expand into the burgeoning world of comics, graphic novels and gaming after being disappointed with the lack of print options available for the average comic and gaming enthusiast. The market is currently saturated with print magazines produced with a focus on specific gaming systems and major companies. However, very few give the all-around fan a view of the entire gaming industry from an independent perspective. All the while comics and graphic novels are severely underrepresented and often target children and teenage audiences rather than adult enthusiasts.

We strive to break this trend by presenting well written and insightful coverage that does not talk down to the reader. The magazine includes large and short features that focus on the industry and behind the scenes coverage; in addition contains articles, editorials and reviews that are insightful as well as informative to the reader.

C&G Monthly is a venture being launched by Lucid Media Network, a Canadian owned and operated publisher which currently publishes two other nationally distributed magazines: Lucid Media magazine and Side Street Review - both are based in arts and culture. We are expanding into comics and gaming with the belief that arts and culture does not preclude but rather fully includes these two distinct mediums.
